Planning your course with your instructor

Most intensive driving courses start with a phone call, where the driving school will suggest a course. You book it, pay for it and hope for the best. Then if you fail the small print and conditions can get really confusing.

At The Big Red L Company we have conducted intensive driving courses for years and have found that an assessment lesson is an ideal way to find out what a pupil really needs.

We have found that by conducting an assessment lesson, we can get to see what your driving standard is, we can have a look at your learning style and give sound professional advice.

Meanwhile you can see how you get on with the car and the instructor and make sure you are really happy before paying for the remainder of the course.

Once we have completed the assessment and made our recommendation we need to discuss with you -

  • When you want / need to take your driving test

  • What blocks of lessons would be ideal for you

  • Over how long you want the course to run for

  • Dates, Times and Pick up points

  • Deposits

  • Balance Payments

  • Cancellations - Illness, bad weather, DSA

  • What happens if you fail your driving test

  • Options for Pass Plus

  • Advanced driver training

  • Buying your first car etc

You can of course ask all manner of questions to your instructor, or if you want you can call us at head office where we will be only too happy to answer anything to do with driving.
