Getting a driving test date to suit

One of the hardest parts of running intensive driving courses is ensuring there is a suitable practical test date at the end of the process.

The DSA update their website each Monday to show the waiting time for tests at each local test centre. This is often 5 to 12 weeks. However, We can often get a short notice cancellation from them. The really tricky bit is tying it up to the dates a pupil and instructor has available.

To achieve this we have to call the DSA's booking office several times every day to see what is available at a variety of test centres in each pupils home area. We also need to be in regular contact with pupil and instructor to confirm acceptability prior to confirming the booking - Stand by your phones!

If you are desperate and need to pass within 10 days we can nearly always find an instructor and a test date to suit - it's just that you may have to travel across a few counties to do it. Which means you'll probably have to find accomodation as well. The local instructors will always advise on suitable B&B's or local hotels.
